Why Join AHPI ?

The country’s healthcare infrastructure has improved in the last two decades but it is still struggling to survive. It’s a fact that private hospitals constitute more than 70% of the healthcare delivery system in India. However, the environment surrounding hospitals are neither friendly nor encouraging for more hospitals to emerge. The government policies, healthcare funding, increasing cost of healthcare and demand for medical professionals have forced us to a situation where we need to come together to save the professional and the profession.

AHPI aims to protect the interests of the hospitals, doctors and the patients, by continuously advocating for the rights of the doctors and hospitals and stresses on best practices for the industry to function effectively. AHPI also strives hard to effectively implement healthcare schemes that are beneficial for the economically underprivileged section of the society.

  •  AHPI has been strongly advocating with the government, regulatory bodies and other stake holders on issues, which have bearing on enabling its member organizations to deliver appropriate healthcare services to community at large.
  • AHPI has also approached the judiciary system for matters that need the help of the legal framework.
  • AHPI also provides its members with legal advisory and helps them overcome any administrative and operational issues.
  • AHPI also provides training support to inculcate an ethical value system among healthcare professionals and help them in areas where there is need for improvement.
  • AHPI provides a platform for its members to reach out their peers on issues like aggravated patients, mob violence and attack on doctors/hospitals.
  • AHPI also propagates the message that hospitals are safe and campaigns for an increased patient trust.
